Acroview Programmer Supports Fanstel's Ultra-Low Power BLE Module BC833M

Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the expansion of its compatible chip portfolio with the release of its latest programming software. The company's core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, now offers full compatibility with Fanstel's ultra-low power Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, the BC833M.

The BC833M is a high-performance, highly flexible, ultra-low power BLE module built on the Nordic nRF52833 Series-on-Chip (SoC). It features an ARM Cortex™-M4F core processor, 512KB of embedded Flash, and 128KB of RAM. The module integrates a 2.4GHz multi-protocol transceiver and a PCB onboard antenna, significantly reducing time-to-market and development costs.

  • Minimal PCB Footprint: Measuring only 10×14.3mm, the BC833M integrates the inductor required for the VDD DCDC converter, the 32MHz main crystal, a 32.768kHz (20PPM) sleep crystal, and its load capacitors.

  • No External Components Needed: Operates without any external components when powered by VDD.

  • Wide Operating Temperature: -40℃ to +105℃.

  • Extended Communication Range: Achieves ultra-long communication distances without requiring a Power Amplifier (PA); maximum transmit power of +8.73dBm.

It features dedicated programming solutions for memory chips like eMMC and UFS, comprehensively covering the needs for off-line programming of裸片 (bare die) and on-board programming for Fanstel's entire series of chips. The AP8000 employs an innovative modular design comprising three core components: a main unit, a base board, and an adapter board, granting it excellent compatibility and scalability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also delivers stable and efficient performance, serving as a core component of Acroview's automated mass production programmer, the IPS5800S, to efficiently handle large-scale chip programming tasks and meet high-volume production demands.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity options, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces for easy networking of multiple programmers. Through this networking function, users can effortlessly achieve synchronized control over several programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. Regarding safety, the main unit features an intelligent safety protection circuit that continuously monitors chip placement and circuit connections. Upon detecting anomalies like reverse insertion or short circuits, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. A high-speed FPGA chip inside the main unit significantly boosts data transfer and processing efficiency, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, an SD card slot is located on the back of the main unit. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and use the programmer's physical buttons to select, load, and execute programming operations, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design reduces dependency on computer hardware specifications, simplifies workspace setup, and significantly improves operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000's modular design, combining base boards and adapter boards, effectively extends the functionality of the main unit. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering renowned brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. It supports a wide array of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, and eMMC, and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats like Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, all-scenario chip programming solution.
