Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has announced the expansion of its compatible chip model range alongside the release of its latest programming software. Among these updates, its universal programming platform AP8000 has fully adapted to Cmsemicon's serial NOR flash CMS25Q40AHT, providing efficient and reliable professional programming support for relevant customers.
The CMS25Q40AHT is a 4-megabit serial NOR flash memory. Its memory array is divided into 2048 programmable pages, each with a capacity of 256 bytes, allowing up to 256 bytes of data to be written in a single programming operation. The chip supports multiple erase modes: 4 pages per group (1KB sector erase), 16 pages per group (4KB sector erase), 128 pages per group (32KB block erase), 256 pages per group (64KB block erase), as well as full-chip erase. The device operates with a single power supply, with a working voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V; standby current is as low as 7µA, and power-down mode current is only 0.1µA.
The CMS25Q40AHT is compatible with the standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and also supports high-performance dual/quad output modes and dual/quad bidirectional SPI modes. Relevant pins include: serial clock, chip select, serial data input/output IO0 (data input DI), IO1 (data output DO), IO2 (write-protect pin WP), and IO3 (hold pin HOLD). The maximum SPI clock frequency reaches 120 MHz. When using dual/quad high-speed read commands, the equivalent clock rate in dual bidirectional mode can reach 240 MHz (120MHz×2), and in quad bidirectional mode, up to 480 MHz (120MHz×4).
The CMS25Q40AHT is equipped with hold and write-protect pins, enabling read/write protection control over the top sector, bottom sector, or complementary memory partitions of the array. Additionally, the chip supports JEDEC-compliant manufacturer ID and device ID reading functions and features a built-in 64-bit unique hardware identifier. Based on the SPI and associated software protocols, the CMS25Q40AHT can communicate via a simple three-wire bus in single I/O mode; the three bus signals are clock input (CLK), serial data input (DI), and serial data output (DO). The chip select input pin (CS#) is used to enable the device's serial data access.

The AP8000 universal programmer independently developed by Acroview has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible and configurable 1-to-1 and 1-to-8 programming modes, and provides both online and offline operating modes. It also offers dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, fully covering the bare-chip offline programming and on-board programming needs of Cmsemicon's entire chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design consisting of three core modules: the main unit, baseboard, and adapter socket, endowing the device with excellent compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also delivers stable and high-performance capabilities, serving as the core component of Acroview's automated batch programmer IPS5800S, which efficiently handles large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit features flexible connectivity options, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces for easy networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can conveniently achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers and carry out parallel programming operations efficiently. In terms of security, the main unit incorporates intelligent safety protection circuits that monitor chip placement status and connection integrity in real time. Once abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, the power-off protection mechanism is triggered immediately, safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is powered by a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transmission and processing efficiency to ensure smooth and efficient programming. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear panel. Users can store project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then complete file selection, loading, and programming operations via the programmer's physical buttons, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware but also simplifies workspace setup, greatly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the main unit's functional boundaries. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering brands such as HAAWKING, XHSC, ZHIXIN, SAMSUNG, and KIOXIA. Its supported device types are extensive, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with multiple industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
