As a leader in chip programming, Acroview has announced the further expansion of its compatible chip model coverage while releasing a new version of its programming software. The company's core product, the AP8000 universal programming platform, is now fully compatible with Innovision Semiconductor's 12-phase digital controller IS6203A.

The IS6203A is a dual-output digital multiphase step-down controller designed for xPU voltage regulation and compatible with PMBus/AVSBus/SVID protocols. The chip can be configured with up to two outputs: Loop 1 can be configured for 12-phase operation, and Loop 2 can be configured for 6-phase operation. It can dynamically control phases based on load current to achieve excellent efficiency across the full load range.

The IS6203A adopts Innovision's proprietary TCOT control mode to provide fast transient response and supports 127 address values across two PMBus interfaces. Device configuration can be defined using InnovisionGUI and stored in on-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) to reduce external components and minimize package size.

In addition, the IS6203A provides extensive fault protection, including output overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). When paired with smart power stages, it also includes thermistor-based temperature sensing or maximum temperature reporting.

The IS6203A supports pairing with Innovision's series of smart power stage products with different current and package specifications to meet high-power, low-voltage, high-current power requirements in applications such as servers and data centers.

Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronous control of multiple programmers and efficiently carry out parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit has a built-in intelligent safety protection circuit that can monitor chip placement status and circuit connection conditions in real time. Once abnormalities such as reverse chip insertion or short circuits are detected, the power-off protection mechanism is triggered immediately, safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, greatly improving data transmission and processing efficiency and ensuring a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance ease of use, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the main unit. Users only need to save project files generated on a PC to an SD card and insert it into the slot, then use the programmer's physical buttons to select, load, and program files, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the setup of the working environment and significantly improves operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination design of bottom board and adapter board, effectively expanding the functional boundaries of the main unit. At present, the device supports products from all mainstream semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston.
