Acroview Programmer Supports u-blox RF Transceiver IRIS-W106-10B

Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the further expansion of its supported device portfolio alongside the release of its latest programming software. The company’s core product – the universal programming platform AP8000 – has now been fully adapted to support u-blox’s RF transceiver IRIS-W106-10B.

The IRIS-W106-10B is a high-performance, standalone, tri-radio Wi-Fi 6 and low-energy Bluetooth module. It offers excellent Wi-Fi channel security and stability, improving network operational efficiency and reducing device power consumption.

The IRIS-W106-10B is built around the NXP RW612/RW610 wireless microcontroller with integrated tri-radio, supporting next-generation Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy, IEEE 802.15.4 low-power wireless networks, Matter over Wi-Fi, Thread, and Ethernet communications. The module is available with either a PCB antenna or an external antenna option, making it an ideal choice for secure networking in commercial and smart home ecosystems. Its open-host version features a high-performance Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller running at up to 260 MHz, with 1.2 MB of SRAM, 8 MB / 16 MB of flash, and support for multiple peripherals including UART, USB, SPI, SDIO, RMII, QVGA display, I2S, I2C, and GPIO.

The IRIS-W106-10B complies with the Bluetooth 5.4 core specification, uses industrial-grade materials, and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The AP8000 universal programmer, independently developed by Acroview, has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The system supports flexible configurations for one-to-one and one-to-eight programming modes, and offers both online and offline operation. It also provides dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, fully covering the bare-chip offline programming and on-board programming needs of u-blox’s entire chip family. The AP8000 adopts a modular design featuring three core modules – mainframe, baseboard, and adapter socket – which gives it exceptional compatibility and scalability. As a universal programming platform, it not only supports all types of programmable chips on the market, but also serves as the core component of Acroview’s automated high-volume programmer IPS5800S, delivering stable and efficient performance for mass production programming tasks.

The AP8000 mainframe offers flexible connectivity with both USB and Ethernet interfaces, enabling easy networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can conveniently achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. For safety, the mainframe incorporates intelligent protection circuits that monitor chip placement status and connection conditions in real time; upon detecting abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits, it triggers an immediate power-off protection mechanism to safeguard both the chip and the programmer. The mainframe is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip that significantly boosts data transfer and processing efficiency, ensuring a smooth and high-performance programming process. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear panel. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming operations – enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design reduces dependency on computer hardware, simplifies workspace setup, and greatly improves operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 employs a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the mainframe’s capabilities. The device currently supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, Kingston, and many other well-known brands. Its supported device types are extensive, covering NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
