Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the further expansion of its compatible device coverage with the release of a new version of its programming software. The company's core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—has now achieved full adaptation for Analog Devices' secure coprocessor DS2477Q.
The DS2477Q secure I²C coprocessor with built-in 1-Wire® master combines FIPS 202-compliant Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-3) challenge-and-response authentication with Maxim's patented ChipDNA™ technology, a physically unclonable function (PUF), delivering a cost-effective solution for ultimate protection against security attacks. The ChipDNA approach exploits the naturally occurring random characteristic variations of semiconductor devices during wafer fabrication. The ChipDNA circuit generates a unique output value that is repeatable over time, temperature, and operating voltage. Any attempt to probe or observe ChipDNA operation alters the underlying circuit characteristics, thus preventing detection of the unique value used by the chip's cryptographic functions. The DS2477Q uses the ChipDNA output as key content to securely encrypt all data stored in the device. Leveraging ChipDNA capability, the device provides a core set of integrated circuit‑based cryptographic tools, including a SHA‑3 engine, a FIPS/NIST-compliant true random number generator (TRNG), 2Kb of secure EEPROM, and a unique 64‑bit ROM identification number (ROM ID). The unique ROM ID serves as a fundamental input parameter for cryptographic operations and also as an electronic serial number in applications. The DS2477Q provides the SHA‑3 and memory functions required for host system communication and operation with 1‑Wire SHA‑3 slave devices. In addition, the device enables protocol conversion between the I²C master controller and any connected 1‑Wire SHA‑3 slave devices. For 1‑Wire line driving, an internal user‑adjustable timer frees the system host processor from the burden of 1‑Wire waveform timing control, supporting both standard and high‑speed 1‑Wire communication. The 1‑Wire bus can be disabled via software control. The strong pullup feature supports 1‑Wire power delivery for commands requiring higher current draw.

The AP8000 universal programmer, independently developed by Acroview, has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible and configurable one‑to‑one and one‑to‑eight programming modes, and offers both online and offline operation. With dedicated programming solutions developed for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, it fully covers the offline bare‑chip programming and on‑board programming needs of the entire Analog Devices chip portfolio. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design based on three core modules—host, baseboard, and adapter socket—endowing the device with outstanding compatibility and scalability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market, but also serves as a core component of Acroview's automated batch programming system IPS5800S with stable and high‑efficiency performance, efficiently handling large‑scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 host features flexible connectivity, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces for convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the host incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that continuously monitors chip placement status and circuit connections. Once anomalies such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it immediately triggers a power‑off protection mechanism, comprehensively safeguarding the safe operation of both chips and the programmer. The host is equipped with a high‑speed FPGA chip that significantly enhances data transfer and processing efficiency, ensuring a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the host. Users only need to store the project file generated on a PC onto an SD card and insert it into the slot; then, through the programmer's physical buttons, they can select, load, and execute programming operations, enabling standalone operation independent of a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the workspace setup process, significantly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of scalability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination of baseboard and adapter board, effectively expanding the host's functional boundaries. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well‑known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. Its extensive device type support includes NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with various industry‑standard file formats including Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one‑stop, full‑scenario chip programming solution.
