Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced further expansion of its compatible chip model coverage with the release of a new version of its programming software. The company's core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—has now achieved full adaptation for PUYA Semiconductor's serial interface flash PY25F256LD-WZ.
The PY25F256LD-WZ is a serial interface flash device suitable for a wide range of high-volume consumer applications, where program code is loaded from flash into on-chip or external random access memory (RAM) for execution. The device features a flexible erase architecture that supports page‑granularity erase, making it suitable for data storage without requiring an additional separate data storage chip.
The erase block size of the PY25F256LD-WZ is optimized to meet current application requirements for code and data storage. By optimizing the erase block size, storage utilization is significantly improved. Since some code modules and data storage segments need to occupy dedicated erase regions independently, this device greatly reduces memory waste compared to flashes with large‑sector or large‑block erase architectures. With improved storage utilization, more program subroutines and data storage segments can be accommodated while maintaining the same total chip capacity.
The PY25F256LD-WZ additionally features three 1024‑byte security registers with One‑Time Programmable (OTP) locking capability, which can be used for storing unique device serial numbers, system‑level electronic serial numbers (ESN), cryptographic key latches, and similar applications.
The PY25F256LD-WZ is designed for various system applications and supports read, program, and erase operations within a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 2.0V, with no additional external high voltage required for programming and erase operations.

The AP8000 universal programmer independently developed by Acroview has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible configurable one‑to‑one and one‑to‑eight configurations, and provides both online and offline operating modes. It has developed dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, and can fully cover the bare‑chip offline programming and on‑board programming needs of PUYA Semiconductor's entire chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design with three core modules—main unit, baseboard, and adapter socket—giving the device excellent compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market, but also serves as a core component of Acroview's automated batch programming system IPS5800S with stable and efficient performance, capable of handling large‑scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit features flexible connectivity options, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of security, the main unit incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement status and circuit connections in real time. Once abnormalities such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it immediately triggers a power‑off protection mechanism to safeguard the safe operation of both chips and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high‑speed FPGA chip, significantly improving data transfer and processing efficiency to ensure a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear of the main unit. Users can store engineering files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then complete file selection, loading, and programming operations through the programmer's physical buttons, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependency on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the working environment setup, greatly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular baseboard‑and‑adapter board combination design, effectively extending the main unit's functional boundaries. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well‑known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. Its supported device types are extensive, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with a variety of industry‑standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one‑stop, full‑scenario chip programming solution.
