Acroview Technology, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the expansion of its compatible chip model matrix alongside the release of its latest programming software. Among the newly supported devices is Winbond's 8M-bit serial flash memory chip, the W25Q80DVSNIG, which is now fully compatible with Acroview's flagship universal programming platform, the AP8000. This provides customers in related fields with efficient and reliable programming solutions.
The W25Q80DVSNIG (8M-bit) serial flash memory offers an ideal storage solution for systems constrained by space, pin count, and power consumption. It delivers high flexibility and performance far beyond ordinary serial flash devices, making it well-suited for applications such as code shadowing to RAM, direct code execution via Dual/Quad SPI (XIP), and storage of voice, text, and data. The W25Q80DVSNIG operates from a single power supply ranging from 2.7V to 3.6V, with power-down mode current consumption as low as 1µA.
The memory array of the W25Q80DVSNIG is organized into 4096 programmable pages of 256 bytes each, allowing up to 256 bytes of data to be programmed in a single operation. The device supports various erase modes, including 4KB sector erase (16 pages), 32KB block erase (128 pages), 64KB block erase (256 pages), and chip erase. Correspondingly, the W25Q80DVSNIG features 256 erasable sectors. The 4KB small-sector architecture provides greater flexibility for applications requiring data and parameter storage.
The W25Q80DVSNIG is compatible with the standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and also supports high-performance Dual/Quad output and Dual/Quad I/O SPI modes. The relevant pins include Serial Clock (SCK), Chip Select (CS), serial data I/O pins I/O0 (DI), I/O1 (DO), I/O2 (/WP - Write Protect), and I/O3 (/HOLD - Hold). The device supports SPI clock frequencies up to 104MHz. When using Fast Read Dual/Quad I/O instructions, the equivalent clock frequency reaches 208MHz (104MHz x 2) in Dual I/O mode and an impressive 416MHz (104MHz x 4) in Quad I/O mode. This transfer rate surpasses traditional 8-bit and 16-bit parallel flash memories. Furthermore, the Hold pin, Write Protect pin, and flexibly configurable write protection features (including protection control for top, bottom, or complementary array areas) enhance operational flexibility. The device also supports JEDEC-standard manufacturer and device ID identification and incorporates a unique 64-bit serial number.

Acroview's independently developed AP8000 universal programmer has established itself as a benchmark professional programming solution within the industry. The device supports flexible, scalable 1-to-1 and 1-to-8 configuration modes and offers both online and offline operation modes. Dedicated programming solutions have been developed specifically for storage chips like eMMC and UFS. The AP8000 comprehensively covers the offline programming of bare dies and on-board programming needs for Winbond's entire series of chips. Utilizing an innovative modular design comprising three core modules—a main unit, a base board, and adapter sockets—the AP8000 achieves exceptional compatibility and scalability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also serves as the core component of Acroview's automated mass programming equipment, the IPS5800S, with its stable and efficient performance, effectively handling large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production demands.

The AP8000 main unit features flexible connectivity, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement status and circuit connections in real-time. Upon detecting abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits, it immediately triggers a power-cut protection mechanism, ensuring comprehensive operational safety for both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transfer and processing efficiency to ensure a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance ease of use, an SD card slot is located on the rear of the main unit. Users simply need to save the project file generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and use the programmer's physical buttons to select, load, and execute programming operations, enabling independent operation without a PC. This design reduces dependency on computer hardware configuration and simplifies the setup of the working environment, significantly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 utilizes a modular design combining base boards and adapter boards, effectively extending the functional boundaries of the main unit. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as ADVCHIP, RICHTEK, indiemicro, Fortior Tech, and YUNTU. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, and eMMC, and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats like Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
