Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the expansion of its compatible chip model coverage with the release of its latest programming software version. The company's core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—now achieves full adaptation with U-blox's wireless Bluetooth module, the BMD-380-A-R.
The BMD-380-A-R is a compact, high-performance, and highly flexible ultra-low power multi-protocol system-on-module (SoM) that provides Bluetooth 5 Low Energy and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread and Zigbee) connectivity for portable ultra-low power embedded systems. The module is equipped with an Arm® Cortex®-M4 floating-point unit (FPU) processor, integrates a 2.4GHz transceiver and an onboard antenna, and offers a complete radio frequency (RF) solution, helping products accelerate time-to-market and reduce development costs. The BMD-380-A-R fully leverages the performance and peripheral advantages of the nRF52840 chip, enabling demanding applications while simplifying design processes and lowering bill of materials (BOM) costs. It is an ideal choice for design solutions requiring Bluetooth 5 functionality or IEEE 802.15.4-based Thread and Zigbee networks. The module integrates a USB interface and a DC/DC power supply compatible with 5.5V, enhancing integration, reducing design complexity and BOM costs, and expanding potential application scenarios.

Internal Block Diagram
Acroview's independently developed AP8000 universal programmer has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible one-to-one and one-to-eight configuration modes, and offers both online and offline operation modes. It features dedicated programming solutions for storage chips such as eMMC and UFS, and fully supports offline bare die programming and on-board programming for U-blox's entire chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design consisting of three core components—main unit, base board, and adapter socket—granting the device excellent compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also delivers stable and efficient performance. It serves as a core component of Acroview's automated mass programming equipment, the IPS5800S, efficiently handling large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production demands.

The AP8000 main unit features flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit is equipped with an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement and circuit connection status in real time. In the event of reverse insertion, short circuits, or other anomalies, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is powered by a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transmission and processing efficiency for a smooth and efficient programming process. To improve ease of use, an SD card slot is located on the rear of the main unit. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming operations—enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configuration but also simplifies the setup process, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular design combining base boards and adapter boards, effectively extending the functional boundaries of the main unit. To date, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, and eMMC, and is fully compatible with industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
